Traveling around the world is such a magical thing! But some times we miss out on simple comforts. Like right now, we are missing autumn, even though the never ending summer here is like living in a dream, we wanted to make our own little fall experience. So we cranked up the AC and went to collect some fallen leafs to create friendly leaf creatures!

I found these fun knitted pumpkins that the boys can take with us wherever we go! Here is where I got them

We recently had two very strong storms, so fining leafs was easy! We found two kinds and that was great for us!

Creating The Leaf Creatures-

The process was quite easy! I first let the boys play with them for a while, so that they could feel the fun textures. We had a little reminder about only collecting leafs that are already fallen and letting nature be. We have been learning a lot about not disturbing nature. There is so much beauty to be appreciated and still lots of fun to be had without needing to be destructive! I believe it’s an important thing for all children to learn!mom blog fall craft leaf creatures leaf craft autumn dad blog healthy mom blog traveling with kids Japan early learning homeschooling world schooling nature art opt outside Virginia California raising boys mother nature

After that, I just gave them the paint and brushes for them to create all the faces. They also painted the long palm tree leafs into colorful snakes. Let the kids decide what kind of creature or face they want to paint! I love to hear the things that they come up with.mom blog fall craft leaf creatures leaf craft autumn dad blog healthy mom blog traveling with kids Japan early learning homeschooling world schooling nature art opt outside Virginia California raising boys mother nature

We let the paint dry and then used permanent markers to draw outlines around the paint and give the face features more definition.mom blog fall craft leaf creatures leaf craft autumn dad blog healthy mom blog traveling with kids Japan early learning homeschooling world schooling nature art opt outside Virginia California raising boys mother nature
