Art Birthday Party
Thank you Brawny® Tear-A-Square® for sponsoring this post. Think of all the ways you can Put a Square There!
Our little Owen turned 5! He is my creative one; will spend hours drawing and painting and telling me stories about his creations. So for his birthday, we all knew that we needed to have an art-themed birthday party! With all the fun and the mess that comes with it, because that is the best way to celebrate Owen, have fun and make a huge mess!

When sitting down to plan, I wanted to have a plan for clean up. Before, during and after. I saw the Brawny® Tear-A-Square® paper towels and realized they were perfect for this party.

They are super strong and absorbent, which makes them perfect for art! They have three different sizes to choose from: whole, half, or quarter sheet which also made them perfect so that I could have small-sized paper towels, perfect for little hands, without wasting part of a whole sheet.

Our art-themed birthday party
Our party was all about having fun with art and creativity. We chose four different activities for the kids. Resist painting on canvas, watercolors on wood, paint, shaving cream for some sensory fun, and spray bottle painting.

For each activity, I had my Brawny® Tear-A-Square® paper towels ready in different sizes, and that made the clean up so easy. It also helped us transition to the next activity fast and we weren’t held back from having fun.
We had one big table that all the kids shared, and I made a little place setting for each of them that included their canvas, wood block, and their little “thank you” souvenir.

I wanted them to be the stars of their own art show, so for their souvenir, they got a star coaster, a pencil, and paint brushes. and it was resting on a quarter sheet of the amazing Brawny® Tear-A-Square® paper towels. That was a great decision because they all used it right away when they started to work on their art.

The real test for my plan came when we got to the shaving cream activity! The kids got really into it! And pretty soon, they were a complete mess! But the belly laughs coming from all of them were incredible, so it was totally worth it!

Thankfully, we had a clean up station ready for this! we had a big bucket of water, soap, and my now best friend, Brawny® Tear-A-Square® paper towels. Once again, clean up was fast and stress free so that we could have plenty of time to enjoy our food and, of course, cake!

We also used the paper towels for food time! I love that the quarter sheet looks like a napkin, so it looks cute and not like I just randomly grabbed and tore apart paper towels.

For his cake, he chose to have strawberries and cream, and he helped me make it. Yes, maybe that is something that you don’t know about me.. I love to bake cakes! So the boys always have very specific requests for their birthdays.
At the end of the party, we were all tired, but a good kind of tired. We had so much fun and because we cleaned up as we went, we were able to relax together and have a quiet family night.

Thank you for celebrating our baby with us! Stay tuned to learn more about each activity that we did, very soon!
